This piece is a live edge end table featuring a curly maple top, and cherry legs and bottom shelf. The legs are rather delicate in appearance and have a nice movement to them, as they taper in then swell out to receive the lower shelf. The piece was made entirely by my hands, from the cutting of the legs on my bandsaw to the fairing out of the curves with my spokeshave. It is fully customizable and available in different size and woods.

Martell Woodworks is owned and operated by me, Ben Martell. I design and build custom furniture pieces, as well as construct kitchens and built-ins. Having worked extensively in residential construction, fine cabinetry and architectural millwork, I am able to draw on this experience to bring a diversity of projects from concept to completion.
For furniture projects, I typically work with locally harvested hardwoods and finish pieces with a hand rubbed oil and wax finish that complements the natural depth and beauty of the wood. While constructing millwork and cabinetry, which necessitates a wider range of materials and finishes, I communicate closely with the client to ensure they receive the product and look that they desire.
It is my goal to provide quality products, honestly built.
