Live Edge Walnut Coffee Table
Here is another example of a coffee table I made from a large slab of black walnut sourced from a local sawmill. There is some beautiful grain figure in the top, especially close to the crotch section of the slab. The top has been inlaid with maple butterfly keys for structural purposes but with an eye toward their decorative effect. This is a sturdy and beautiful table, built to last for generations. It measures 17"H x 25"W x 55"L

Martell Woodworks
Martell Woodworks is owned and operated by me, Ben Martell. I design and build custom furniture pieces, as well as construct kitchens and built-ins. Having worked extensively in residential construction, fine cabinetry and architectural millwork, I am able to draw on this experience to bring a diversity of projects from concept to completion.
For furniture projects, I typically work with locally harvested hardwoods and finish pieces with a hand rubbed oil and wax finish that complements the natural depth and beauty of the wood. While constructing millwork and cabinetry, which necessitates a wider range of materials and finishes, I communicate closely with the client to ensure they receive the product and look that they desire.
