Hi, welcome to my online portfolio.
I came to woodworking along a circuitous path.
My wife and I ran our own glassblowing studio for almost 15 years. During that time I also learned the art of custom bootmaking and worked on restoring old houses in the Hudson Valley.
Clients began asking me to make new furniture and cabinets to match their existing 18th and 19th century cabinetry. Then they started to asking me to design unique pieces.
I'm comfortable making custom furniture using modern and classic building methods to match most any budget. I view designing custom pieces as a collaborative venture between my clients and myself.
I prefer to use woods native to the area like Maple, Cherry, Walnut and White Oak, although I will use other woods like Mahogany when I need to match wood from period pieces (or while doing restoration work on buildings or furniture).
I can make small tables, build a custom porch to match you country cottage or anything in between.
