This is a custom designed piece based around the two dimensional logo of a gym in Anaheim, Ca. The piece was commissioned and set in motion all through email correspondence. The design is a hybrid of the artist's vision and the customer's ideas. Special thanks to Louie for making this one happen! The piece is three layers of 1/4" birch. The first layer is a solid circle and the second two layers are cut from a single piece of wood creating a uniform grain across the whole piece. The piece is currently hanging front and center in the bouldering gym. The project is not just someone's business logo but a piece of art with a message. Taking a two dimensional picture and turning it into a three dimensional piece of art can be a challenge, but the end result is always more than worth it!

Restoration, reproduction, reclamation. Our shop takes in many types of projects in the furniture space. We refurbish/restore preexisting vintage/antique pieces utilizing traditional craftsmanship and joinery to authentically keep one of a kind pieces handmade and built for generational appreciation. We utilize this same approach for our custom builds. We have learned our skills from a variety of building styles but ultimately our teachers are the furniture makers and carpenters of 100+ years ago. Every project we meticulously walk through on restoration translates to a new idea or skill to be applied in a custom. We do not utilize new materials but source wood, hardware, and furniture parts from all over the country. This material is antique in its own right given that it would have been milled or forged over 100 years ago to be used in barns, industrial, agricultural, etc. applications. We try to honor the authenticity of the past by working with clients interested in heirloom quality pieces with a sustainability to inspire furniture makers 100 years from now to pick up the baton and carry on the tradition!
