***FOR A GREAT VIDEO ON THIS PIECE DEPICTING THE SIZE, COLOR, AND DEPTH OF THIS PIECE I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU TAKE A MOMENT AND COPY THE LINK BELOW TO YOUR WEB BROWSER*** LED BACKLIGHTING DEMO: http://youtu.be/6_W3A6rMFMs MOTION PERSPECTIVE: http://youtu.be/DU3_DB1yPY4 This framed still life depicts grape leaves branching over a table set with a full bottle of wine, a bunch of red grapes, and a glass of red wine. The piece is comprised of 3 varieties of wood. Birch purebond hardwood is used for the back piece of the project and the components throughout. Oak purebond hardwood is used for the table top in which the bottle, glass, and grapes are set on. And Poplar hardwood is used to frame the project. The components of the project are popped out from the back piece using various lengths of screws hidden by corresponding aluminum spacers. This provides dimension to the project and creates a realistic look in the staging of the components. The frame of the project is securely spaced from the back piece using a combination of chrome steel spacers and bolts inserted from the back of the project. Every individual piece of the project is hand sketched, hand cut with a jigsaw, hand finished with a five stage sanding technique, and hand rubbed with water-based dyes and several layers of water-based polyurethane to give a smooth organic feel to each component. The pieces are placed one at a time and secured using a combination of hidden screws and 2 part epoxy wood glue to make the project extremely sturdy. The frame is backlit with a remote controlled RGB LED lighting system. With its remote, the user is able to change between any one of 16 colors, including white, and use set color changing patterns. The lighting comes prewired with an AC/DC adapter but should be professionally wired into a wall switch to hide exposed cords. If the project needs maintenance in any way the artist may be consulted directly in order to assure the piece is properly adjusted.

Restoration, reproduction, reclamation. Our shop takes in many types of projects in the furniture space. We refurbish/restore preexisting vintage/antique pieces utilizing traditional craftsmanship and joinery to authentically keep one of a kind pieces handmade and built for generational appreciation. We utilize this same approach for our custom builds. We have learned our skills from a variety of building styles but ultimately our teachers are the furniture makers and carpenters of 100+ years ago. Every project we meticulously walk through on restoration translates to a new idea or skill to be applied in a custom. We do not utilize new materials but source wood, hardware, and furniture parts from all over the country. This material is antique in its own right given that it would have been milled or forged over 100 years ago to be used in barns, industrial, agricultural, etc. applications. We try to honor the authenticity of the past by working with clients interested in heirloom quality pieces with a sustainability to inspire furniture makers 100 years from now to pick up the baton and carry on the tradition!
