Cinder-Block Chest Of Drawers
Cinder-block, Mahogany, Felt. Small drawers, and a great contrasting of materials. I got this block from a local supply yard, and decided it could make a nice set of drawers. I now am working on casting my own forms with a lighter aggregate mix.

I am a young designer/craftsman living in the middle of the woods. I got my BFA in woodworking and furniture design from The School for American Crafts, part of Rochester Institute of Technology, in Rochester, NY. I studied under Andy Buck and Richard Tannen. It is a fantastic program that bestows technical ability and encourages creative exploration. I am well versed in furniture construction, and dealing with the issues of wood movement. Bent wood creations, drawer construction, steam bending…….all fun things to incorporate into a piece of furniture. I love making pieces that are specific to the personal desires of their keepers.
