This is a table I made while working at Custom Woodworking in Blacksburg, VA. It has a granite top with a white oak border wrapped around it. Under the top is a bent wood skirt. It has a clean and simple look, not much decoration. It was designed to show off the granite top. It was custom made to go in the kitchen and be used as a dining table.

I am a young designer/craftsman living in the middle of the woods. I got my BFA in woodworking and furniture design from The School for American Crafts, part of Rochester Institute of Technology, in Rochester, NY. I studied under Andy Buck and Richard Tannen. It is a fantastic program that bestows technical ability and encourages creative exploration. I am well versed in furniture construction, and dealing with the issues of wood movement. Bent wood creations, drawer construction, steam bending…….all fun things to incorporate into a piece of furniture. I love making pieces that are specific to the personal desires of their keepers.
