Custom Painting In Acrylic From A Black And White Photo
This acrylic painting on canvas was done for a client from an old black and white photo. The client's mother had taken the photo many years ago of the area where my client grew up and asked it I could "bring it to life". Developing a landscape painting from a memorable old photo is a fun challenge for me. Details involving color and mood are important for a painting like this, and I take my time to get this information prior to beginning the project. Prices vary according to the size and time involved in creating the painting.

I've been painting with acrylics for 50 years. The New England region is a favorite for my land and seascape paintings, yet I gladly develop custom pieces from photographs supplied by clients. I also enjoy painting animals. My work has garnered many awards in various Art Associations in my area in Central Massachusetts as well as recognition in regional shows in New England.
In addition to my home studio, I teach classes at my studio classroom in Gardner, Massachusetts. I love to share my painting techniques with my students who are always happy and surprised with what they've created.
