I built this table for a local show. It is a custom design with a heavy base made from solid cedar logs. The table is just under 6 feet in length and 38 inches wide, the thickness is right at 2 inches. This tree had almost zero sap wood, thus it is almost all a deep dark red in color. I filled voids in the wood with a blended color of sand, I created the blend to be a faux turquoise. The weight of the table top slab is approx. 200 lbs, the base at about 150 lbs. This table sold at the show and the client consigned for a set of 6 chairs to match.

I am a working truck farmer and custom furniture builder/designer. I work in local wood that is harvested from surrounding forest. I don't harvest live trees, unless its a construction zone and the trees would have been destroyed.
I mill my own lumber, some with an Alaskan Chain Saw mill in the field, the rest on a friends larger mill.
