Jewelry or Keepsake box with carved top featuring a fossil ammonite (150 million years old). The top was carved from Maple burl, and the sides were made from the exotic wood Amboyna Burl. The inside divider was carved from Basswood and also features a fossil ammonite.

I am an artist that specializes in hand-crafted wood and gourd sculpture with a unique organic flair. My artwork includes wall sculpture, free-standing sculpture, functional sculpture (clocks, boxes, books) and decorative gourd vessels and bowls. Each piece is fashioned using hand and power tools, such as chisels, gouges, rasps, rotary bits and routers. My artistic style is unique and distinctive, and my technique has been refined over many years of wood and gourd carving.
