Mantle Or Desk Clock "Amboyna"
A large Mantle or Desk Clock featuring Amboyna burl at its center, with carved Yellow Poplar radiating out from the burl. The hands were carved from African Padauk, and the clock hangs on a round, Plexiglass back supported by a wood base (Bubinga). The clockworks is a quartz, high-torque movement that runs on a single AA battery.

I am an artist that specializes in hand-crafted wood and gourd sculpture with a unique organic flair. My artwork includes wall sculpture, free-standing sculpture, functional sculpture (clocks, boxes, books) and decorative gourd vessels and bowls. Each piece is fashioned using hand and power tools, such as chisels, gouges, rasps, rotary bits and routers. My artistic style is unique and distinctive, and my technique has been refined over many years of wood and gourd carving.
