Handmade Art Book "Tide Pools"
Handmade book with wood covers carved from the exotic burl wood Afzelia. The front cover features inset fossil ammonites (150 million years old). The signatures are comprised of white linin paper wrapped with a single sheet of colorful handmade paper. The signatures and covers are bound using the method of two needle coptic sewing, which binds the book together without glue but with waxed linen.

I am an artist that specializes in hand-crafted wood and gourd sculpture with a unique organic flair. My artwork includes wall sculpture, free-standing sculpture, functional sculpture (clocks, boxes, books) and decorative gourd vessels and bowls. Each piece is fashioned using hand and power tools, such as chisels, gouges, rasps, rotary bits and routers. My artistic style is unique and distinctive, and my technique has been refined over many years of wood and gourd carving.
