Driftwood is wood that has been washed onto a shore or beach of a sea or river by the action of winds, tides, and waves. It is a form of marine debris and in some areas, driftwood is considered a nuisance. Driftwood can provide shelter and food for birds, fish and other aquatic species as it floats in the ocean. Bacteria and other organisms decompose the wood and gradually turn it into nutrients that are reintroduced to the marine ecosystem. Sometimes, the partially decomposed wood washes ashore, where it also shelters birds, plants, and other species. Driftwood can become the foundation for sand dunes and should never be removed from underground. This Oregon Driftwood was sustainably and responsibly gathered on the central Oregon coast. Handcrafted in Oregon, USA by the author. Rollerball Twist Pens are my most popular pen! Comfortable and practical, these become a daily accessory in your life. They add subtle class and an interesting conversation piece to an otherwise "disposable" world of pens. The Rollerball Twist Pen can be made with a straight profile to fit into your shirt pocket or with a curved waist, or hourglass cut, to add a graceful and comfortable feel to your beautiful writing instrument. Metal finishes are available in Gun Metal (black), Chrome, Gold, and Copper. Pick any wood variety to suit your taste; remember that every single piece of wood is different and every pen is hand made so that yours is truly unique and no one else has one like yours. The Rollerall Twist Pen comes with black ink and uses Cross™ refills. All pieces come with an Identity Card that details the wood type, wood characteristics, and is personally signed by the woodworker. Personalize it with Laser Engraving! Add a name or design to eliminate the problem of your super-cool gift "walking away" with your jealous friends. Add $5 for one line, $10 for 2 lines, or $10 for a graphic.

For Wooden Business Card Holder With Custom EngravingThe final product arrived several days after promised. I also realize I should have provided more details about the custom engraving (i.e., I wanted more than just the carved block letters of the name, but also wanted them woodburned).

For Wine Cask Pens -Custom Built Rollerball Twist PenThe product was outstanding, the maker was a joy to work with, and my only qualm is that the project took a few days longer to ship than expected. Frankly, I'm only mentioning that so it doesn't seem like I'm giving a blanket five out of five review and not putting any thought into it. This is my first purchase on this site and the maker definitely did not disappoint.

For ChessboardLack of effective communication and serious change to plans that wasn't approved. Board arrived in 3 pieces. Measuring, the board is almost an inch out of square, the parts in one section look thrown together and do not align as in the plans and are all flush with the lower plane rather than alternating between the lower plane and the raised trim. I am glad that I decided to have a second board made by a different artist shortly after commissioning this one.
