This is a traditionally joined and upholstered piece, with nontraditional flair. Seat rails are joined by through wedged tenons. Back of the chair includes hand-stamped and carved details. Upholstery is muslin and horse-hair. Finished with linseed oil, shellac and wax.

I work with clients' needs to create functional and creative pieces, hand-built to last into the next generation. I am a graduate of the North Bennet Street School in Boston's North End, where I learned traditional joinery techniques from woodworking masters. I like to combine traditional woodworking with a modern and sometimes whimsical aesthetic, and especially enjoy adding custom lathe work to the furniture I build. I am happy to work with your needs and stay heavily connected in the process of creating your pieces. I love the brainstorming and teamwork aspect of the client/maker relationship and look forward to working with you.
