The table and benches she crafted are beautiful. Amy picked beautiful wood out and her woodworking skills and finish work only enhanced the wood. I was kept informed on how the project was progressing and sent pictures of how it was coming together. Glessboards made the entire experience of buying custom furniture very pleasurable. They also have a preferred delivery guy that is just great. I will be purchasing a dining room set next year, and I will be going back to her. I could never have gotten the quality of furniture that she produced from a furniture store-no matter what price I would have paid for it.

From start to finish, working with Amy was wonderful. She responded quickly with a proposal, sent drawings when she said she would, projected accurate timeline. Everything was spot on! Really easy to work with. Wished I would have found her sooner to work on my other projects!

We can't say enough about how pleased we are with the experience of working with Amy Gless of Glessboards and with the finished project they delivered. We wanted a king size bed with storage drawers under the platform and storage in the headboard. Our bedroom has windows on two sides, closets on the third and the entry door and ensuite bathroom on the fourth. The bed could only go on a window wall. Critical to our requirements was the headboard had to be of a height to fit under our bedroom windows. We shopped on-line and in many local furniture stores. Many beds had storage, but always their headboards blocked our windows. Amy worked hard, through several rounds of design, to meet our requirements, making suggestions based on her experience and accepting our ideas too. Also important was matching the finish of our existing bedroom furniture. Amy prepared two rounds of samples until we found a practically identical finish. Amy was upfront about timing (5 to 6 months) and pricing. She delivered and assembled the bed right at the 6 month mark, at the contracted price, which was very comparable to the beds we had seen at furniture stores, except the bed Amy built for us met our design requirements. We would not hesitate to contract with Glessboards and Amy Gless in the future.

We recently had a table made by a local woodworker. We quickly learned that there aren’t many “local” woodworkers who make chairs. Luckily we found Glessboards on Custommade and found a style we thought would compliment the table.

Working with Amy was quick and simple. Glessboards have many options and are willing to change anything to make the furniture suited to your style. Amy and Nick are very kind, knowledgeable, and easy going.

Throughout the project, they would send pictures of the progress and were ahead of schedule. When the chairs were finished, I drove to their workshop in Michigan to pick them up. We are very glad we chose to have them build these beautiful chairs which go very well with the table. Neat collaboration betweeen truly talented builders.

I used Amy and Nick (Glessboards) for a custom credenza for my dining room and the piece they delivered was excellent. The entire process was smooth and Amy kept me updated the entire process. She was very communicative and responsive plus she helped resolve some minor detail work that I hadn't provided at the outset. Their shop is about two hours away so I had them deliver my piece and they were on time and really helpful getting it into the house. I would recommend using Amy and Nick for any custom build project.
