Our focus on furniture happened many years ago (25+) as a result of some left-over lumber, the need for a bench by the backdoor, and a frugal resourceful nature that told us to give it a try. The bench turned out beautiful (we still use it every day), the experiment turned to a hobby, the hobby to an obsession, the obsession to a journey… We design and build custom furniture on commission. Our shop specializes in made to order custom furniture specifically for individual clients.

Oct 2, 2015I had high hopes for this project when I first contacted Amy Gless at Glessboards... and she EXCEEDED all my expectations. From the first message exchanged I could tell she was passionate and professional and I knew this project would turn out exactly as I hoped. The best part of this process was Amy's communication. I received messages every few days with pictures, explaining and showing the process. The pictures were invaluable, as it allowed me to see her vision and request slight changes (color, etc) along the way. She was always very amenable to whatever I asked, even if she has finished with that part of the project. It honestly could not have worked out any better. As far as price goes, it was more than fair. If you looked at a table like this at Pottery Barn, or Restoration Hardware, you'd find Amy's price to be equal or less. And the quality of her work is way better! And it feels way better to support a small business. A win-win!
