All hand plane and scraper marks were left behind and the cherry glazed with Van Dyke brown to assist in the aged barn door look. Durable clear acrylic protective topcoats. Our focus on furniture happened many years ago (25+) as a result of some left-over lumber, the need for a bench by the backdoor, and a frugal resourceful nature that told us to give it a try. The bench turned out beautiful (we still use it every day), the experiment turned to a hobby, the hobby to an obsession, the obsession to a journey… We design and build custom furniture on commission. Our shop specializes in made to order custom furniture specifically for individual clients.
