This has been an easy project, at least for me, mainly due to Amy. She had been easy to reach, flexible with the schedule and modifying the project on the fly, including completion of the project and delivery. Thank you Amy....

Amy and her husband are Great to work with, and wonderful craftsman who pay great attention to the fine details. And they were able to build to our needs and desires. And it turned out beautifully. We will work with them again on other projects.

Working with Amy was a breeze. She was very patient with someone totally inexperienced with woodworking. She held my hand throughout the entire process while still giving me freedom of choice. In the end, what matters most is that my item got here extremely fast, came out exactly as discussed, and elegantly designed to boot. I couldn’t recommend her enough.

We have been using our new table about three months now and we are totally delighted with it! Amy built the exact table we wished for and was very responsive and helpful with support when we had questions about maintaining its durability and beauty. She worked with us throughout the building process and took highly professional care with safe and impressive packing of the table for long haul shipping (Michigan to NYC suburbs). This was the second time Amy has built a custom piece of furniture for us and we anticipate it won't be the last. We highly recommend Amy and her work to all!

We can't say enough about how pleased we are with the experience of working with Amy Gless of Glessboards and with the finished project they delivered. We wanted a king size bed with storage drawers under the platform and storage in the headboard. Our bedroom has windows on two sides, closets on the third and the entry door and ensuite bathroom on the fourth. The bed could only go on a window wall. Critical to our requirements was the headboard had to be of a height to fit under our bedroom windows. We shopped on-line and in many local furniture stores. Many beds had storage, but always their headboards blocked our windows. Amy worked hard, through several rounds of design, to meet our requirements, making suggestions based on her experience and accepting our ideas too. Also important was matching the finish of our existing bedroom furniture. Amy prepared two rounds of samples until we found a practically identical finish. Amy was upfront about timing (5 to 6 months) and pricing. She delivered and assembled the bed right at the 6 month mark, at the contracted price, which was very comparable to the beds we had seen at furniture stores, except the bed Amy built for us met our design requirements. We would not hesitate to contract with Glessboards and Amy Gless in the future.

Working with Amy was pure joy. I had two bedside stands custom built by A local carpenter. I asked that same carpenter to make two more bedside stands, same measurements only stained a different color. After waiting ten months, and then looking online for something close to what I wanted I decided I didn’t want yo settle and decided to google custom furniture makers and found Custom Made. Amy was THE maker for my project. I sent Amy the measurements, a picture, and a sample of the color I was trying to capture. Built to Perfection! I wish she had made my first two bedside stands! Excellent communication, excellent pricing. CAD drawings were emailed to me and different sample stains were sent via mail to settle on the correct stain color with some tweaking. The project was completed a month before her original timeline. She shipped on a Thursday and were delivered on the next day! I was not home to accept the delivery so I don’t know how they were packaged up. No damage, so how they were packaged worked. I find myself walking into the guest bedroom several times a day when I’m passing by, stick my head in the door, admire them and smile! What a blessing! Thanks Amy! The waiting is now over.

Amy is fantastic! I searched every furniture store on the planet for a specific size end table and couldn’t find what I was looking for. And if I did find something close, it wouldn’t deliver for many months at best. Amy made our tables to the exact size, wood, style and finish we wanted in 1/4 the time any online retailer could. My brother and his family recently moved into a new house and were in need of finally upgrading their dining room table set. I offered to purchase a dining set, and he found Amy on CustomMade. She was very easy to work with, and the table and chairs were made on schedule and shipped to my brother. I haven't seen them in person due to the pandemic, but the pics Amy and he have sent me look amazing, and my brother is very pleased. From start to finish, working with Amy was wonderful. She responded quickly with a proposal, sent drawings when she said she would, projected accurate timeline. Everything was spot on! Really easy to work with. Wished I would have found her sooner to work on my other projects!

The customer cutting board arrived ahead of schedule and is exactly what I was looking for. Amy was great to work with and did an amazing job. I have been wanting this for years and finally decided to treat myself. Shouldn’t have waited so long!!

The custom bird's eye maple tables are beautiful, and Amy's collaboration on finish was fantastic.

It was a delight working with Amy on a very large desk for my home office. I was looking for a desk that would feel like a built-in once installed but which would have the solid wood character that distinguishes Amy's work. Amy worked with my sketch of my office and designed a 7.5' x 11' L-shaped desk that fit around an awkwardly-placed windowsill, could be easily carried to my second-floor office, and that could be broken down into smaller desks if I moved houses in the future. Amy is highly responsive, really clear, and my desk is beautiful. Shipping was terrific and reflected attention-to-detail that is evident in her furniture. I will be ordering more furniture from her.

Amy made 3 beautiful dining chairs to go with our farmhouse table. The process was super simple: I explained what we were looking for and she suggested a design that made perfect sense. We selected our wood, she sent stain samples, and the chairs were delivered right on schedule! We could not be happier with how they turned out.

I used Amy and Nick (Glessboards) for a custom credenza for my dining room and the piece they delivered was excellent. The entire process was smooth and Amy kept me updated the entire process. She was very communicative and responsive plus she helped resolve some minor detail work that I hadn't provided at the outset. Their shop is about two hours away so I had them deliver my piece and they were on time and really helpful getting it into the house. I would recommend using Amy and Nick for any custom build project.
