Our focus on furniture happened many years ago (25+) as a result of some left-over lumber, the need for a bench by the backdoor, and a frugal resourceful nature that told us to give it a try. The bench turned out beautiful (we still use it every day), the experiment turned to a hobby, the hobby to an obsession, the obsession to a journey… We design and build custom furniture on commission. Our shop specializes in made to order custom furniture specifically for individual clients.

For Modern Floating Credenza5.0I used Amy and Nick (Glessboards) for a custom credenza for my dining room and the piece they delivered was excellent. The entire process was smooth and Amy kept me updated the entire process. She was very communicative and responsive plus she helped resolve some minor detail work that I hadn't provided at the outset. Their shop is about two hours away so I had them deliver my piece and they were on time and really helpful getting it into the house. I would recommend using Amy and Nick for any custom build project.

For Country Dining Chair5.0We recently had a table made by a local woodworker. We quickly learned that there aren’t many “local” woodworkers who make chairs. Luckily we found Glessboards on Custommade and found a style we thought would compliment the table.
Working with Amy was quick and simple. Glessboards have many options and are willing to change anything to make the furniture suited to your style. Amy and Nick are very kind, knowledgeable, and easy going.
Throughout the project, they would send pictures of the progress and were ahead of schedule. When the chairs were finished, I drove to their workshop in Michigan to pick them up. We are very glad we chose to have them build these beautiful chairs which go very well with the table. Neat collaboration betweeen truly talented builders.

For Modern Farmhouse Dining Table5.0We received our table and chairs this week. They were delivered by a very nice man, Maurice, who carefully delivered each piece and set up the table for us. Each piece was very well packed so there was no question that it was well taken care out of.
As for the table, it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! The craftsmanship is superb and the lines are very nice and unique. We are SO HAPPY with the product and the entire process. From day one, Amy has been extraordinary. She is very organized and communicates frequently. She even shared some pics of the table as it was being built - a nice touch.
Overall, I give this 6 stars!!
