Boardroom Table

The top of this table is 5' wide by 17' long and is a single piece. It is an exceptionally large slab of Angelim Pedra, which can have a remarkable resemblance to mahogany. Originating from Brazil, it very hard and dense and weighs well over 1000 lbs. This slab, and others like it are obtained in an environmentally conscious way. The base is a modern industrial design featuring timber frame elements. Highlighting exposed structure in the form of welds, bolts, through mortises, and wedge joinery, the overall table is a harmonious interplay of steel and wood. Although It serves as a boardroom table for a technology company in Montreal, it can function equally well as a large dining table.
