Guanacaste is a perfect wood for making live edge slab tables in extra long lengths over 10 feet. The wood has a rich tone with a light edge and has beautiful grain. The slabs tend to have a long and even grain making them perfect for a natural but subtle edge. Pictured with an "X" base. Please contact us for pricing options for this and other species. Elias Custom Furniture and Design
Elias Furniture is a wood-design-studio in rural Northwestern New Jersey established by Matthew Elias. We focus on creating generational designs that are made to last with a timeless, modern style.
Matthew is a self taught woodworker who started Elias Furniture initially providing interior designers, contractors, and the general public with high quality custom furniture. In addition, our small batch collection that we offer continues to grow. We primarily use locally sourced hardwoods and tend to use traditional joinery methods that are both simple and strong.
As a small business in the greater NYC region we source our materials from local retailers and often use sustainable locally harvested woods. We offer regional delivery and ship nationally.

Without prompting him, Matt provided regular updates of his progress to ensure the table was coming out the way I wanted. He also delivered the finished product nearly 5 days before scheduled delivery date. Besides his responsiveness and professionalism, Matt's work is beautiful and high quality. The table came out exactly how I had envisioned it, if not better. This was a challenging table because I had a custom table top already and Matt had to work with the existing dimensions and weight. He created a product that is an beautiful replica of the inspiration table, made with high quality material, and assembled with perfection. Dec 19, 2014We ordered a 7 ft reclaimed wood dining room table. Matt found great reclaimed elm wood and used steel u-shaped legs. The table is wonderful! Matt was very communicative throughout the process. This was a big expense for us and we are completely satisfied!
