This was a great project from start to finish. I was nervous to start because 1. I've never "designed" furniture before and 2. This process occurred entirely via the Custom Made communication tools. Ben was amazing. He made suggestions, communicated with lots of photos and made adjustments based on my feedback. I wanted a table that would stand up to day to day use, little kids and a giant puppy and not only did I get what I wanted, thanks to Ben, I got a beautiful piece of furniture. The furniture was a great value and much much nicer than anything I could purchase from a large retailer.

From start to finish this project was a breeze... I sent Ben a few drawings of what I was looking for, he addressed a few necessary design changes and quickly delivered a beautiful product. It was extremely affordable, especially for the care and work we can see it the piece--Ben brought my drawings to life! His pieces are part of my traveling display and we have already been getting compliments.

Ben was flexible enough to show us a variety of potential woods when we realized reclaimed elm would be hard to come by, different finishing techniques to give the aged look we wanted, and even different base options for our table. This made me feel like I was really part of the creation of our coffee table, and even if it doesn't look that different than something you could find in a store, I know it was made with care and love right here in the Mid-Atlantic by a local artisan.

Moonlight Forge was fantastic. Communication, ideas, finished product... all A's in my book. Cost was reasonable and Ben was very knowledgeable. The stand I had designed was built exactly to my specifications. Ben even offered some great ideas to improve the project along the way. Can't be happier!

This was our first Custom Made experience but certainly won't be our last - we could not be happier! Ben was AWESOME to work with and so instrumental in helping to shape our vision. He offered great suggestions and kept us in the loop with weekly updates and snapshots. Not only is the finished table beautifully made and exactly what we were looking for, but we feel like we've made a new friend in the process. Thanks, Ben!

Ben was excellent to work with. He was very good at keeping me informed of my project's status, verifying details, and the craftsmanship is excellent. He is also just a very nice guy, and I would highly recommend using him for any project.

Ben was great to work with, I'm very happy with what he built for me and would look him up again in the future. For years I've been using an old typewriter as a computer monitor stand. Recently I purchased a new TV (which can also serve double duty as a monitor) which was just a little too large/expensive to perch on the typewriter. Ben worked with me to take my rough idea through to a perfect solution to my problem. Thanks Ben!

I've been burning wood for several decades to heat my home and have tried many woodstove ash shovels before now, all with too short handles. When I asked Ben to create a shovel for me, long enough to reach the back of my large woodstove, I had no idea that he was going to make the most perfect tool I've ever had for this purpose. His workmanship is good and solid and he understood what I wanted simply by giving him a quick idea. Also, he has a good eye for decorative work for his metal pieces. This shovel will last a lifetime so it was a bargain to me.
