This minimalist painting is part of my "Etherea" series. It's an atmospheric abstract that captures the lightness of air in a swirl of luminous soft blues and aquas. Translucent and transparent layering of acrylic paint creates depth and the illusion of weightlessness. The overall feeling is of serenity. The piece is created on a wood panel constructed with a 2" cradle. The image on the face continues around the deep edges making this painting ready to be hung without framing.

My paintings are lyrical, atmospheric abstractions of meditation and memory. They are meant as resting places, serene escapes from our hectic, complex world, entry points to the rhythms and the quiet mysteries of our lives and our search for deeper connection. These paintings, with their subtle complexity, are repeatedly layered translucently in search of radiance, nuance and depth.
