Dance With Me
The drama and rhythms of dance are abstracted in this minimalist multi-panel painting. Multiple shades of reds are layered translucently as I searched for radiance and depth. This creates a surface of rich, subtle complexity. The red is broken only on the second of the five panels, to which oranges and golds have been introduced in a wild frenzy of color and shape. This painting is created on 5 wood panels, each 48 x 6" and constructed with a 2" cradle. Hung together the piece measures 48" high and 34" across. The colors on the face continue around the deep edges of each panel making this painting ready to be hung without framing

My paintings are lyrical, atmospheric abstractions of meditation and memory. They are meant as resting places, serene escapes from our hectic, complex world, entry points to the rhythms and the quiet mysteries of our lives and our search for deeper connection. These paintings, with their subtle complexity, are repeatedly layered translucently in search of radiance, nuance and depth.
