The progression of unusual colors in this atmospheric painting moves softly from rich red brown at the base, upward through a grayed lavender blue, then a small band of olive green, arriving at a warm neutral at the top. My paintings are lyrical, atmospheric abstractions of meditation and memory. They are meant as resting places, serene escapes from our hectic, complex world, entry points to the rhythms and the quiet mysteries of our lives and our search for deeper connection. These paintings, with their subtle complexity, are repeatedly layered translucently in search of radiance, nuance and depth. They evolve through a process of improvisation, experimentation, revision and intuition. Any of the paintings I have listed could be varied in size, shape or color. Or let me know how you see peace!
My paintings have been exhibited widely in many and solo shows and have won many awards. My work can be found in both private and public collections across the United States as well as Europe.
