Queen Anne Writing Desk
This curly maple writing desk was designed and built to match a clients existing Queen Anne style antiques. Based on tea tables in the MFA collection I stretched the proportions to create this piece. I had so much fun building this for the client that I built a second one. This piece won Best Overall and the Peoples Choice at last years Woodexpo in Boston.

Ryan Messier is a professionally trained furniture and cabinetmaker holding a degree from the North Bennet Street School. My specialty is the design and construction of hardwood furniture using traditional techniques.
Along with traditional furniture making I also offer many other services, including custom cabinets, antique restoration, chairmaking, wood carving, veneering, built in cabinetry, millwork and finishing/refinishing.
My two thousand square foot shop is located just over the Bourne bridge on beautiful Cape Cod.
