Realistic Lead Crystal Pastry Shell with Hand Blown Glass Berries

$300

This small lead crystal tart shell looks like a real pie crust. You'll have to touch it to be sure. It is 5 inches (about 13cm) in diameter including the scalloped edges, and about 3/4 inch (19mm) high. The opening is about 4" (10cm) wide at the top. It is the perfect size to use as a display dish for up to 20 pieces of your glass berry sculpture collection. It is signed and dated on the bottom.

The crystal pie shell is made using the pate-de-verre method. Each crust is detailed in color and texture on both sides, often even having little seams in the bottom where the pie crust was wrinkled or folded. It is darker around the upper edges and paler on the bottom, where the heat would not have browned it as much. No two are exactly the same.

The price of the pie shell alone is $400.00. You may choose the number and types of berries you want for your display from any of the glass berries shown in my portfolio here on Maker Marketplace. The total price for your display will depend on how many and which kind of berries you select to put inside the shell. The main picture here, which includes about 2 assorted berries, would be priced at about $1,600.00

My glass berries are lifelike enough to fool adults at first glance. Never display your glass berries where they could be confused with real fruit. Never put them in your mouth, even for fun, or allow anyone else to do so. Make sure to keep them out of the reach of children of any age.

Your order will be carefully packaged with biodegradable plant fiber batting inside 100% recycled paper gift boxes with red stretch bows.

About Me:
I have been working with glass for about thirty years in total, and have made my living as a glass sculptor and jewelry designer for the last fifteen years.

About My Work:
My current work focuses on lifelike fruits and berries which I make from glass in the flame of a torch. I sell the glass berries as sculpture as single pieces or in customized groupings, and I also incorporate them into unique jewelry pieces, often custom-designed for individual clients.

The jewelry designs can range from very simple pendants and earrings to complex statement pieces. Take a look at my Custom and Quick Order listings to get some ideas of what can be done. I would love to design a custom piece just for you.

My Business:
My work is also available for purchase around the United States at major glass and art galleries, and my pieces have found homes in private collections all over the world. I also do business under the name GlassBerries.
