One Realistic Glass Green Gooseberry Sculpture, Life-Sized
This listing is for One (1) realistic glass gooseberry sculpture. Many glass gooseberries are shown in the pictures so that you can see them from all angles. You may purchase more than one by placing several into your shopping basket before checkout. Your order will be carefully packaged with biodegradable plant fiber batting inside a 100% recycled paper gift box with a pretty red stretch bow. Each glass gooseberries will be life sized - about 15mm to 17mm in diameter. Like a real gooseberry, your glass gooseberry sculpture will be translucent with delicate white veins running over the surface from the stem to the dried flower at the tip, and you can see the seeds inside. The glass dried flower at the end of the gooseberry will be built around a copper wire for strength and the edges will be rounded so they will resist breakage. The surface of the glass will be etched to provide a soft, matte finish like you would find on the skin of a real gooseberry. Each glass gooseberry sculpture is individually handmade by me in the flame of a torch from Italian glass rods. They show a degree of realism that you will not find anywhere else. No two are exactly alike. The hot glass is formed onto a copper wire stem that is then trimmed before shipping to a natural length of about 12mm (1/2"). The photos above represent the glass gooseberry sculptures I make in this style. THE SCULPTURE YOU RECEIVE WILL BE SIMILAR TO, BUT NOT EXACTLY THE SAME AS, THE ONE(S) SHOWN ABOVE. There will be some minor variations in the shape, size and color patterns of each sculpture. WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD These glass gooseberries are lifelike enough to fool adults at first glance. Never display these glass gooseberries where they could be confused with real fruit. Never put them in your mouth, even for fun, or allow anyone else to do so. Make sure to keep them out of the reach of children of any age.

I have been working with glass for about thirty years in total, and have made my living as a glass sculptor and jewelry designer for the last fifteen years.

My current work focuses on lifelike fruits and berries which I make from glass in the flame of a torch. I sell the glass berries as sculpture as single pieces or in customized groupings, and I also incorporate them into unique jewelry pieces, often custom-designed for individual clients.
