Lead Crystal Rhubarb Leaf, Pate de Verre, With Hand Blown Glass Berrry Sculptures

This glass rhubarb leaf is one of a limited edition of ten. It is made using the pate-de-verre method. Each leaf is completely detailed in color and texture on both sides and no two in the edition are exactly the same. The leaf is the size of a dessert plate - about 8 inches long and 7 inches wide. Your leaf will come with a clear acrylic cradle to hold it level on a table surface.

You can display up to 25 pieces of your berry collection in the leaf. The price of the rhubarb leaf alone is $1,200.00. You may choose the number and types of berries you want for your display from any of the glass berries shown in my portfolio here on Maker Marketplace. The total price for your display will depend on how many and which kind of berries you select to put inside the leaf. The main picture here, which includes about 25 assorted berries, would be priced at about $2500.00

Almost nothing in nature is completely round, smooth or even, so I avoid making my glass fruit and leaves too perfectly. I put on little splotches and speckles, make them a tidbit lopsided, and add other small imperfections so that each berry or leaf is unique. This makes them look much more lifelike.

These glass berries are lifelike enough to fool adults at first glance. Never display your glass berries where they could be confused with real fruit. Never put them in your mouth, even for fun, or allow anyone else to do so. Make sure to keep them out of the reach of children of any age.
