Hand Blown Glass Sunny-Side-Up Fried Egg, Single

A realistic and life-sized hand blown glass art figurine that's good enough to fool the eye! Okay, I know it's silly. But also fun. :) It's life-sized, so people will see this on your shelf and do a double-take! Makes a great conversation piece or a gift for your favorite cook.
The egg can lay flat on the table, or I can make it so one edge droops over the edge of a shelf, surrealist-style.

Did you know that the color of egg yolks depends on what the hen eats? Pasture-raised hens that eat lots of green plants and bugs lay eggs with deep orange yolks like the ones on these glass sculptures. Your glass fried egg will be about half cooked, complete with bubbles and crispy edges. There's still some shiny clear stuff around the yolk . Your egg can be made with or without ground black pepper. The "pepper", if you choose it, is in raised bumps you can feel with your fingers, but there are no sharp edges to cut your skin. The back is smooth. Your egg will be signed and dated on the back.

Your particular sculpture will be something like the ones shown in the pictures, but since I make each with a free-hand technique, the egg you receive will be completely unique.

Your sculpture will be carefully packed inside a free 100% recycled paper gift box with red stretch bow.

About Me:
I have been working with glass for about thirty years in total, and have made my living as a glass sculptor and jewelry designer for the last seventeen years.

About My Work:
My current work focuses on lifelike fruits and berries which I make from glass in the flame of a torch. I sell the glass berries as sculpture as single pieces or in customized groupings, and I also incorporate them into unique jewelry pieces, often custom-designed for individual clients.

The jewelry designs can range from very simple pendants and earrings to complex statement pieces. Take a look at my listings to get some ideas of what can be done. I would love to design a custom piece just for you.

My Business:
My company, Elizabeth Johnson Art Glass, LLC, is registered in the state of Colorado. I also do business under the registered name GlassBerries. My work is available for purchase around the United States at major glass and art galleries, and my pieces have found homes in private collections all over the world.

The earrings arrived very quickly and where well packaged. The earrings themselves are beautifully hand crafted and exceeded my expectations.

I am sure my wife will be pleased with her Valentines gift this year!

I ordered glass cherries from Elizabeth, and she crafted, shipped them, and they arrived within seven days of ordering. Stunning and increadibly realistic. Keep in mind that the photographs come out quite a bit brighter and lighter. The tones of the actual pieces are softer and really beautiful. Definitely recommended!
