So grateful to Jeff for making this idea of mine come to life! He did an amazing job!

I commissioned Jeff to create a display case to house a model boat created by an artisan that is very dear to me. My original project was a very simple one - a glass case trimmed by wood. But, with Jeff's expert hand and eye for design, we were able to collaborate and create something more unique. The final product - a beautiful mohagony case featuring brass hardware, a sliding drawer, and well-designed mirror backing that allowed for easy access - is truly outstanding and is a constant source of conversation for any visitor to my home. Jeff's care and precision were not limited to the construction of the case. He also made sure to take every precaution to make sure it arrived in one piece, including building a custom wooden crate and foam padding cut to size. It was a great experience all around. I recommend Jeff without qualification. Indeed, I am trying to come up with new projects to work with him again!

This was my first project using the CustomMade website. Before I review my project builder, I wanted to first say that I think this website is wonderful and I am very glad I came across it. It is such a great way to get unique items made by talented individuals - I loved being able to connect and get things done on a more personal level than what would be possible by working with large companies.

On to my project -
The idea started with my fiance browsing from website to website looking for a holder for bottles of nail polish. As I observed her doing this I wasnt satisfied by the quality or design of anything she was coming across. I decided to do my own research and came across custommade.com and decided getting something designed that would fit the decor of her spa would be the best way to go.

I wanted a wall mounted piece in the shape of angel wings with shelving on it that could hold approximately 100 bottles of nail polish. I did a quick 3D model of my idea and put it out to bid on CustomMade.

I recieved about 10 responses of people interested and this is where Jeff with Wood-N-Reflections came in. A couple emails back and forth passing back ideas and images Jeff was able to give me a Proposal. Jeffs price came in right in the middle of the other proposals I recieved. After looking at Wood-N-Reflections profile page and looking at past projects Jeff had created I realized that his work was of the highest quality at a competative price. I then accepted Jeff's offer and scheduling and payment was arrainged.

Due to my own time constraints of when I needed the item by, I requested Jeff to cut down his estimated construction time by 25%. Jeff assured me he would do what he could to meet that goal and I was very thankful when he met that goal and had the peice done in less time then origionally estimated.

During the constuction Jeff communicated very well with me, asking question and offering his professional input. He took my rough idea and added his artistic details to it and created something that I couldnt have imagined. Jeff knew the best type of material to use, accents to place on the piece and added some very important carving around the piece to give it some much needed elegance.

Also much appreciated was the photos that Jeff uploaded to CustomMade during the process of construction. It was exciting to follow along and watch as my idea became a reality.

Like I said earlier, Jeff finished up a few days early, safely packaged up the piece and shipped it out to me.

I truely feel that I couldnt not have made a better choice then to use Wood-N-Reflections to create this item. I look forward to working with them in the future.

I am completely satisfied with my first project using the CustomMade site. Jeffrey Homan was a pleasure to work with. He helped me design a keepsake box for my grand daughter. He communicates very clearly and I always knew exactly what and when I was getting the project. He even sent me images of the wood he purchased for the project.
