Back To The Future Style Gun Fighter Rig For 1911 And Single Action Army Revolver
This is a project a fellow down in Georgia contracted me to build for him. He wanted it to be the same style as the one that Marty (Michael J Fox) used in the Back to the Future 3 movie with the exception that he wanted a holster for both his 1911 and a Colt single action Army revolver. The bullet loops were to hold 45 ACP rounds. With a couple photo graphs I was able to accomplish this. I used 10 ounce premium leather for the outer shell and 4-5 ounce for the inner lining on the belt and both holster. This made them rock solid and this rig will last lifetimes. All of the stitching is done was done by hand. This made the belt very time consuming due to having to punch all the holes first. I died the belt tan and rubbed it down to give it a vintage look. To finish it off I sealed it on the inside and out. Even though there is no tooling on this rig it is one of my favorites to date. Tooling, coloring and other customization are available. Hi there. My name is Josh (aka Evil Duck) and I started selling my leather work back on handmade, etsy and more back in 2012 after a friend and my little brother suggested I list some of my leather work. So here we are :)
A little about me. I grew up in Oregon and now reside in Utah. I am a US ARMY veteran. We sell on our own platform EvilDuckStudios.com (most customization options and best pricing), as well as other platforms like, Public Square, Amazon, power seller on eBay with 100% positive feedback, and a outstanding reputation on Etsy, well until they banned us after over 12 years on their platform with no issues until they decided they hate the gun loving community! They banned us for selling leather gun accessories like buttstock covers and slings. Go figure. I was a mechanic for almost 15 years and I have a great wife and 5 kids. We are a true mom and pop shop with it being my wife and I.
I have always been doing something with art. I draw, airbrush, do a little wood burning (and leather burning) and I also work as a web designer/front end developer. I have been lucky to be able to be doing something I love in various forms.
