Rainbow Pi Shawl - Handspun & Handknit
This Shawl was a labor of love! I hand-spun natural and dyed merino wool into approx. 2600 yards of 2 ply rainbow/white barber-pole yarn and 3 ply solid rainbow yarn and then hand-knit it into this rainbow colored circular shawl. I alternated between bands of solid rainbow yarn and the rainbow/white heather yarn with an eyelet row in between. Then I finished off with a wide border of feather and fan lace.

I needed a bed cover that I could find NOwhere in stores or on the web, so (remembering another great experience with a CustomMade provider earlier this year) thought I'd see if anyone would be willing to take on an over-sized comforter, very soft and in a caramel color. I am so glad Mary responded. She offered suggestions of fabric, quilting patterns, etc., and kept in close communication. We love the final product!
