Custom Pillow

The customer requested a decorative pillow with the quote "Only one of us is in charge" on it. After some discussion, this is the pillow I created. The pillow is 18" x 12", made of teal cotton batik and light tan linen fabric. From what I understand, the pillow is to be a gift to friends of my customer and will end up in Oregon. This was a fun project to complete.

I specialize in hand-crafted textiles, specifically hand knitted shawls/scarfs and art quilts.

I enjoy the challenge of working with someone to find out what they are wanting and then completing the project. I receive great satisfaction from hearing" this is just what I wanted and it's better than I thought".

Are you looking for a custom hand-knit wedding shawl? Or a special poncho for your favorite niece?

Do you have an idea for a quilted wall hanging? I would love to discuss it with you!!

Mary did an absolutely beautiful job! The communication was excellent. I loved the pictures she sent so I could see the progress. It was a real pleasure working with her.

Mary has been an absolute pleasure to work with. I needed a bed cover that I could find NOwhere in stores or on the web, so (remembering another great experience with a CustomMade provider earlier this year) thought I'd see if anyone would be willing to take on an over-sized comforter, very soft and in a caramel color. I am so glad Mary responded. She offered suggestions of fabric, quilting patterns, etc., and kept in close communication. We love the final product!

Mary was great to work with. She had terrific ideas and was able to communicate them well. The end product was perfect. I will be using her skills again.

Just delightful working with Mary. While the photos/suggestions she made were great, it was having the finished pillow in my hands today which is the truest testimony to Mary's artistic talent. The pillow is absolutely gorgeous in all its detail and finishing. I am certain that the friend for whom I ordered this gift will love it as much as I do. Thanks, Mary!
