Koi Pond Art
A 3ft x 4ft wall hanging depicting three Koi fish. This piece is on a base of baltic birch wood the Koi designs are burned and mediums from acrylic paint, colored pencil, wooden discs, paper, and epoxy are included. The top two coats of epoxy make for a vibrant "wet" look that completely covers the fish and most of the lily pads while others sit on top of the "water line" and float off the edges. A one of a kind piece of mixed mediums.

Pyrography was introduced to Julie by her grandmother Maxine, who also had a love of nature and art. Pyrography soon became a calming and rewarding expression of her artistic notions. When first working with wood, Julie discovered it was an uncommon medium among other local artists. This intrigue soon led to nature inspired artwork utilizing Julie's ideas, along with client's ideas for custom orders. Sharing a sense of beauty and style with her customers, she enjoys being driven by their input as she creates unconventional pieces. Bold textures, colors and designs are formed by her own unique processes. These methods include pyrography, carving, painting, staining, glossing and much more.
