Display end table with hinged glass top, or in another configuration, a coffee table. Can also be used in a retail establishment as display (made taller). The model shown here is 13" x 14" x 23" tall. The glass top opens and there's a shelf about 3" down which can be used to display personal items…small books, antiques, jewelry, photos. The glass top protects the contents and can - it even should - be used for your coffee cup. Antique gauges along the bottom once measured internal pressure and electrical conductivity…none of which are any longer relevant to this table. The same design (with or without gauges) can be made in larger sizes. Or in the present size but multiple side-by-side units.

I am a woodworker. I have a small shop making furniture in a casual style. Much of it has a natural, unfinished look (although it's actually coated for protection). A lot of use of metal brackets and exposed screws. An architect friend calls it a packing-crate aesthetic.
