An open design. A simple coffee table made completely with 2"x2" maple pieces. Finished with a colorless satin varnish that protects the surface and encourages the grain to come out and show its beauty. Top is 3/8" clear glass. Dimensions of model shown are 17" tall, 17" wide, and 35" long…but table can be made in several sizes and displayed in various ways…as a coffee table, side table, behind a free-floating couch. Table can also be made in oiled walnut at the same price.

I am a woodworker. I have a small shop making furniture in a casual style. Much of it has a natural, unfinished look (although it's actually coated for protection). A lot of use of metal brackets and exposed screws. An architect friend calls it a packing-crate aesthetic.
