Friends with Benefits is a designer womenswear collection and truly a labor of love. The linear detailing and romantic silhouettes of their understated and expertly constructed collection transcends the standard rules of dress and moves effortlessly from day to night. Dynamic urbanite couple Clark Sabbat and Lynn Levoy let emotion and intuition guide their design process. Friends with Benefits is a harmonization of polarities: designer Sabbat's love of classic styles and creative director Levoy's daring fashion sense. Focusing the collection around their signature draping, they allow their designs to evolve organically, sometimes emerging from a singular piece of fabric in their New York studio. "The fabric is the pen and the dress form is the paper", says the duo of their timeless collection. Inspired by the sleek sightings of New York City and the diverse women that inhabit it, the collection infuses the fluidity of rich fabrics like cashmere, bamboo, matte jersey, pure silk, and linen with strong details like intricate pleating and ruching, and linear seaming to showcase a woman's strength and whisper at her sensuality.
