I retired from the USAF after 28 years and now I make canes, walking sticks, jewelry and art pieces full time. The Quotable Walking Stick is a concept that I started. For Billy's walking staff5.0Working with Michael Altom has been thee best! From start to finish he walked me through better ideas and kept me updated with every move. A real gentleman. He gave me just what I wanted and more! I just cant believe it. My friend has ALS and has a very difficult time walking and so I asked Michael to carve my friends life accomplishment on a walking stick or cane. He loves to hunt, fish, snowmobile, go four wheeling and loves his family! Michael expressed all of that for me in the most unique way imaginable! A real Artisan!!

For Walking stick5.0Everything these reviews say are spot-on. Michael was fantastic--I approached him on this site about a walking stick I wanted to have made for my mother this Christmas. I had a few ideas kicking around, but time was tight, because I got around to it later than I should have. And yet, not only did Michael make my vision happen--and honestly, he made it better than I'd had in my head--but he did it in barely more than a week's time (including planning), chose a stunning piece of wood, and kept me posted before he made any major moves. And he was so nice throughout the entire process. I have been incredibly happy with the process and the end product, and I can't recommend him enough.
ALSO--it gets even better: since I had asked if there was any way that I could get the bird's beak painted, he actually pulled his wife, a painter, onto the project too, and she did a beautiful job painting not just the beak, but the whole bird. They're like a power crafting duo, and I can't thank them enough for making this walking stick happen.
