This is a minature relief carving of an owl on a wooden Thread Spool. The owl is sitting out on a limb of a tree waiting for something interesting to come along, a midnight snack perhaps. I hand carved the owl into the wooden spool using a high speed (400,000 rpm) drill using the same bits that your dentist uses. The Thread spool is 2 inches high and has a diameter of 1.5 inches.

I retired from the USAF after 28 years and now I make canes, walking sticks, jewelry and art pieces full time. The Quotable Walking Stick is a concept that I started.
