Walking Stick/Cane, The Warrior
I have attached a resin hand grenade (completely inert) to a one inch oak shaft. Then I paraphrased the speech between Josey Wales and Chief Ten Bears in the movie The Outlaw Josey Wales "There is iron in your words for all to see. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life." I was in the U.S. Air Force for 28 years so this speech means a lot to me. I greatly respect the warrior spirit in people whether they were in the military or not. For those who worry about such things, after I carved this one, I realized that the words of women can carry the same iron as men so I will change the words to "It must come from warriors" on future walking sticks. I meant no disrespect to the many fine warrior women that I have known. Shaft Material: Oak Handle Material: Resin Length: 37.5 inches
