Walking Stick/Cane: The Jägermeister Hunting Staff
I'm not a drinker but I understand that Jägermeister is an acquired taste. Jägermeister is a German word that means Game Master. Each bottle of Jägermeister includes a poem written in German that I have loosely translated and carved into this staff: "This is the hunter's badge of glory, That he protects and tends his quarry, Hunt with honor, as is due, And through the beast to God be true" But after the day's hunt is over and the guns have been put away, this staff holds a surprise, the top comes off and becomes a metal shot glass that is held onto the staff using rare earth magnets. I retired from the USAF after 28 years and now I make canes, walking sticks, jewelry and art pieces full time. The Quotable Walking Stick is a concept that I started. I find rare, unusual, and/or antique items to make into walking stick handles. Then I find an appropriate quote from literature, movies, music or elsewhere that I feel compliments the user.
