This is a very old piece of High Desert Cedar that I carved an owl looking out of it's home. I love the natural color of the wood and I try to perserve that in every piece that I do.

Dec 12, 2013Everything these reviews say are spot-on. Michael was fantastic--I approached him on this site about a walking stick I wanted to have made for my mother this Christmas. I had a few ideas kicking around, but time was tight, because I got around to it later than I should have. And yet, not only did Michael make my vision happen--and honestly, he made it better than I'd had in my head--but he did it in barely more than a week's time (including planning), chose a *stunning* piece of wood, and kept me posted before he made any major moves. And he was so nice throughout the entire process. I have been incredibly happy with the process and the end product, and I can't recommend him enough. ALSO--it gets even better: since I had asked if there was any way that I could get the bird's beak painted, he actually pulled his wife, a painter, onto the project too, and she did a beautiful job painting not just the beak, but the whole bird. They're like a power crafting duo, and I can't thank them enough for making this walking stick happen.
