This piece is meant to represent a mother eagle taking her off-spring out for its first flight. Although eagles don't generally get their "bald head" until they are 3-years old, I took artistic liberties and gave the young eagle its bald head. I retired from the USAF after 28 years and now I make canes, walking sticks, jewelry and art pieces full time. The Quotable Walking Stick is a concept that I started. I find rare, unusual, and/or antique items to make into walking stick handles. Then I find an appropriate quote from literature, movies, music or elsewhere that I feel compliments the user.

He was quick and the quality was great; he even made a sample and photographed it before making the rest. I asked him to make a change before proceeding, and it wasn't a problem at all. I'm super happy with my coasters and my experience working with Michael!

I had my thoughts and ideas, but he really grasped what I envisioned (even better, in fact). He took great care through the whole process to update me on the progress and ask my opinion about everything, and obviously took his time and put great care into the details of this cane. A man of integrity, patience and professionalism, I'd be thrilled to work with him again in the future or recommend him to anyone for their Custom Made projects!
