Black Leopard Sculpture
Hand carved sculpture of a Black Leopard laying in a dead tree. The leopard was carved from Claro Walnut burl. His eyes are made from Bigleaf Maple and African Black Wood. The tree is carved from a single piece of Black Walnut. There is a removable dead limb on the tree which when pulled out contains a small ring holder for an engagement ring. The base is Black Walnut as well.

I further complicated the job because he was unable to see where the finish product was going to go, but that didn't stop him from making sure every detail was covered.
