Bourban Toasting Box - Grizzly Bear Theme
In Old World Artisan Style a toasting box design with a Grizzly Bear theme! This was a commissioned toasting box. Features several wood types and hand carving. The Spanish cedar cigar drawer has a handle made from a spent 270 brass which shows through the front when box is closed. This box also has a hiding place built in for the key. The primary wood used in the box is black walnut. The handle was carved from laminated wood for the strength. The recipients initials were carved in the African blackwood top bottle retainer and the bottom bottle retainer has hand carved bears as well. The door latch is hand carved ebony and walnut burl depicting the American Indian symbol of the Spirit Bear. The four tumblers rest on shelves with pull-out bottoms which have stops to keep them from coming all the way out. This box will be used for special family occasions where a toast is in order. It will then be handed down to the family generations!

For Carved Wall Art Plaque with Text and Cross5.0Mark was among the first to give a proposal to my project. He was willing to work with me on the budget I had set, actually lowering his original proposal figure. He was a great communicator, offering design ideas with sketches. I had a specific design, however, that I wanted to be made into a plaque. Once this design was fine-tuned, Mark went to work, creating the board for my 16" plaque. The next week he did the carving, then sent me photos of the finished project. He completed the project ahead of time! I was very happy with the end result. My daughter and husband will have a unique gift that will remind them of the song they sang on their wedding day.
