Kitchen knife forged from 15n20 high carbon steel. I designed the guard in a 3D modeling program, scaling it to the forged blade. It was then 3D printed and cast in solid bronze and polished. The handle is maple with it's live end exposed. This is a style I've been working on, using technology that has only recently come into existence.
Theo Rock Nazz
Born and raised in the city, I am a New Yorker to the core. I’ve seen this island at its worst and made it through in one piece; so it’s reasonable to say I would like to continue living and working in an urban environment for years to come. In the past I have freelanced as a 3D computer artist and animator, ironwork designer, and product designer/developer. Today I am a full time teacher and bladesmith.
2017 I won Forged In Fire (a competition knife and sword making show on the History channel) twice, becoming the third Forged In Fire champion of champions. The winnings from the show allowed me to grow my tiny shop into a small school, and 2019 we moved into Industry City to grow the school and add the storefront.
My knife came out amazing. The blade came out looking like the work of art that it is and yet it still keeps all of the strength and utility that any knife should have. Theo really worked with me on the design process to ensure my idea came through and he constantly gave me updates. 11/10 and I will definitely be working with him again.
Theo did an absolutely amazing job on my knife! He added a lot of extra touches that I wouldn't have thought of and the recipient loved it. Would highly recommend him. He sent me plenty of pictures and even a video update during the process. Answered my questions in a timely manner. Great working with him!! Thank you Theo!
First time ever getting a custom made knife and it turned out to be a one of kind, truely unique in everyway. It arrived just before Christmas and couldn't wait to open the box. As soon it was Christmas morning I opened the box. Looking forward to getting another knife made by Theo Nazz.
Theo was a delight from beginning to end. He offered suggestions, provided his opinion on the direction and aesthetics of the knife, kept me updated with progress. The knife is a gift and altho I have not presented it yet, I feel it will be a hit. Proceed with confidence with this artist -- you have chosen wisely :)
