W2 Fighting Knife
W2 fighting knife differentially hardened using a traditional Japanese clay hardening technique to produce a hamon, with hardwood scales of your choice, 3D printed metal guard and pommel, brass and copper fittings. This design is all about speed - the 3D printed components are created with cavities that reduce weight while maintaining integrity. The hamon (wavy line in the steel) marks where the hardened edge grain structure meets the softer (shock absorbent) spine. Overall length is 12.75", 4.5" handle, 1/8" wide blade with distal taper. Balancing point is right at your pointer finger. Leather sheath included with optional engraving.

Born and raised in the city, I am a New Yorker to the core. I’ve seen this island at its worst and made it through in one piece; so it’s reasonable to say I would like to continue living and working in an urban environment for years to come. In the past I have freelanced as a 3D computer artist and animator, ironwork designer, and product designer/developer. Today I am a full time teacher and bladesmith.
2017 I won Forged In Fire (a competition knife and sword making show on the History channel) twice, becoming the third Forged In Fire champion of champions. The winnings from the show allowed me to grow my tiny shop into a small school, and 2019 we moved into Industry City to grow the school and add the storefront.
