Hand forged tiger themed katana. 15n20 and 1045 shell with differentially hardened W2 cutting edge. 3D printed cast bronze tsuba and kashira with blue Reconstone menuki and koiguchi. Wenge handle and saya are wrapped in Japanese cotton ito. The tsuba is shaped like a pair of tiger paws grasping one another, and the tiger's head pommel has a blue sapphire in its mouth.

Born and raised in the city, I am a New Yorker to the core. I’ve seen this island at its worst and made it through in one piece; so it’s reasonable to say I would like to continue living and working in an urban environment for years to come. In the past I have freelanced as a 3D computer artist and animator, ironwork designer, and product designer/developer. Today I am a full time teacher and bladesmith.
2017 I won Forged In Fire (a competition knife and sword making show on the History channel) twice, becoming the third Forged In Fire champion of champions. The winnings from the show allowed me to grow my tiny shop into a small school, and 2019 we moved into Industry City to grow the school and add the storefront.
Excellent blacksmith! Followed my instructions to the tee. Kept me informed throughout the entire process with emails, pictures, even videos! Gave me exactly what i wanted! If i have a project involving metalwork... i would go back to this guy!
Theo is a master! The knife he completed for me is not only an extremely useful tool it is beautiful. His care and craftsmanship show in every detail.
Was great working with Theo. Kept me abreast of the projects progression every step of the way with pictures and videos and while it took slightly longer than I anticipated I never felt like I was in the dark. Look forward to additional projects down the line!
This was such a great project. I have a couple just got married and they love cooking. I thought a custom kitchen knife would be great. What i loved about buying this was that i felt like i was part of the process. I saw the forging, could ask questions about how the process worked etc. Also- Need to mention that the picture does not do this justice. This is just beautiful! Thanks!
Theo was wonderful! His work is beautiful and I cannot wait to give the beautiful letter opener he made for me as a Christmas gift to my husband this year.
