Hand Hewn Fireplace Mantel
This fireplace mantel made from a hand hewn beam creates a simple rustic look. The mantel is made from a poplar beam that is from an 1860's house. It is lightly sanded to allow the rustic look to show through and the back is milled to create a flat surface. Clear coat water base polyurathane finish. Dimensions are nominal do to the nature of the beam. 60"L x 12"W x 8"H.

Gleman and Sons is a family-owned and operated custom woodworking company. We design and build only the finest quality wood furniture, custom tables, barn doors, and unique items for the home and office.
We are proud to work in reclaimed and antique lumber. This lumber comes from Appalachian mountain barns and buildings that are old and abandoned or are slated for demolition. The lumber from these buildings is old growth and second growth timber with characteristics that cannot be found in today’s newly-cut lumber.
